The use of demographics reinforce stereotypes of gender align how most males commonly contribute to doing illegal substances and commit crimes that go against the law and the psycho graphics show different lifestyles being represented such as crime, verbal abuse and false accusation. The preferred reading for my music video is about how environmental changes can impact someones life significantly despite of contributing in crimes. However the oppositional reading for my music video is that the protagonist should have separated himself from the negative outcomes that would significantly impacting his life. The use of juxtaposition shown in my music video is presented through setting as my first scene introduces a dark setting whilst during the video its presented during the day.The use of constant images and zoomed in shots bring attention for the audience to have some sort of thrill and excitement.
The use of visceral pleasure that is going to be shown in my music video is that there is a scene where one of the antagonists calls the police which gives thrill to the audience. This generated immediate tension and excitement for this scene and how the act of calling the police creates a cliffhanger for the people watching. The use of vicarious pleasure shown in my music video is through the interactions of the protagonist and the antagonist/ villain. This pleasure brings danger and fustration for the audience. The use of voyeuristic pleasures is shown through the protagonist and antagonist walking down a pathway where the other antagonist follows them whilst they are distracted. Propp's character theory is presented by the protagonist being in a vulnerable position (to prevent a negative outcome) whilst his friend is a side kick who tries to prevent the negative situation from occurring whilst the villain is the antagonist who follows the protagonist by placing cocaine into his bag. The use of Blumer and Katz's theory reinforces social needs. The deliver of music intriges the audiences watching as the lyrics are relatable about social life. My video delivers chaos whilst also contrasting a simple life.
