Lighting: The lighting in stranger things is quite neutral and dark to show suspense to the audience. This suggests to the audience that the setting of stranger things is quite mysterious and intense. At the start of 1:24 the lights flicker to build up a dramatic scene making the scene end up quite violent and brutal. At the scene in 6:59 we see the character calling on a telephone and the lighting is dark and quite foggy. This results the scene to look quite intense resulting that scene will become intense and fast as it is showcasing a dark scene.

costume :the costumes the characters wear are mainly denim and long sleeves. This suggests the audience that the characters are based on the 80s as it has 80s furniture and denim was introduced in the 80s and how they are dressed. The character from the start is wearing a lab coat. This results that audience can tell that The guy is perhaps a doctor. In the scene at 4:31 we can see each individual characters wearing a jeans, chinos, leather jackets, and converse shoes. This suggests to the audience that stranger things is based during the 80s from the costumes of the characters.

Actor expression: The expression of the boys face after he saw a mysterious figure was empty and shocked. This suggests that the audience can see the boy is traumatized and horrified from what he has just seen. In the video starting at 1:27 the doctor heads towards the elevator and gradually his facial expressions start to go from relaxed and easy then to scared, shocked and traumatized. At 3:14 the boy's facial expression shows that he is annoyed. This is because in the context it shows that his mum wanted his friends to leave there house as it was late. This is shown from the scene at 3:05.
